Transitioning to politics several years ago, Hema Malini has continued to represent UP’s Mathura constituency with distinction, securing her victory by a significant margin of over 2 lakh votes. Esha Deol took the opportunity to publicly commend her mother’s achievements on social media.

On June 4, Esha Deol used Instagram to extend her congratulations to her mother, Hema Malini, for securing victory for the third consecutive term in the election. She posted a picture of the veteran actress adorned in a red salwar suit outside a temple with the caption, “Congratulations mamma. Hat trick.”

About Hema Malini’s political career

Hema Malini commenced her political journey in 1999 and formally affiliated with the BJP in 2004. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, she secured victory in the Mathura constituency with a substantial margin of 22.65%. She further solidified her position by retaining the seat in 2019, commanding a vote share of 60.88%.

On a personal note, Hema Malini has graced numerous Hindi films, frequently starring opposite Dharmendra, whom she wedded in 1980. The couple shares two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol.
