Elvish Yadav, the victor of Bigg Boss OTT 2, finds himself in hot water once more as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) levels accusations against him in a money laundering case associated with the snake venom-rave party.
Elvish Yadav’s presence in the spotlight has been prolonged, marked by a journey from triumph to controversy. Despite emerging victorious in Bigg Boss OTT 2, his path soon intersected with legal troubles. Accused of involvement in rave parties utilizing snake venom, he faced arrest on March 17 under this allegation. An FIR filed by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi’s NGO and subsequent judicial proceedings led to a 14-day judicial custody under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, before being granted bail. Additionally, charges under the NDPS Act were levied against him initially, but later retracted. Nevertheless, the saga of challenges continues for the erstwhile winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2.
Elvish Yadav finds himself entangled in legal troubles as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) brings forth allegations of money laundering linked to the snake venom-rave party. Charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) have been pressed against him, as authorities investigate the use of illicit funds for organizing such events.
Earlier in November, the Noida Police compiled a hefty 1200-page chargesheet against Elvish Yadav and eight others in connection to the snake venom-rave party case. This isn’t the first time Elvish has faced legal issues. Previously, his parents, Ram Avtar Yadav and Sushma Yadav, defended him, claiming he was framed due to his popularity.
They clarified that the luxurious cars, like the Mercedes and Porsche, showcased in Elvish’s videos were rented for content creation purposes. Dismissing rumors of property ownership in Dubai, they asserted that their son’s income is derived from vlogs and online jacket sales.
Elvish Yadav’s legal woes escalated in March when he was arrested following an altercation involving content creator Sagar Thakur, also known as Maxtern. Despite being granted bail, Elvish faced the brunt of legal scrutiny, ultimately resolving the issue with Sagar thereafter.
