Elite Season 7 Story:-
Recall back to 2018 when Netflix Spain delivered an electrifying thriller with a clear-cut formula? “Elite” soared in its third season and maintained its quality until the fourth season, after which it took a nosedive. The departure of the original cast should have served as a warning sign. Despite all this, “Elite” Season 7 isn’t inherently bad.

However, it fails to capture the essence of the “Elite” we adored, particularly with the absence of half of our beloved characters, leaving viewers constantly consulting Wiki to identify the new faces. The show has shifted away from its original structure, where each season began with a mysterious crime, unraveling the events leading up to it.

“Elite” Season 7 feels like any other run-of-the-mill high school thriller, with lower stakes than ever before. To be fair, the creators did forewarn us that this season would take a different path, focusing on mental health and relationships. Perhaps it would have been better suited as a spin-off, allowing fans to approach it without the burden of comparing it to the original premise and earlier seasons.

So, let’s view “Elite” Season 7 as a standalone installment within the familiar universe. Didac and Isa strive to maintain their relationship amidst a war between their mafia families. Meanwhile, Rocio finds herself entangled in their conflict while developing feelings for Nico’s troubled cousin, Eric. Sonia, still nursing a grudge against Nico, decides to assist Omar with his internship.

Yes, an original character makes a return! And he brings along a fresh wave of drama—his boyfriend, Joel, catches the attention of the lonely Ivan, while Patrick makes a run for it. Enter a new duo in town—Carmen and her daughter Chloe—who have their sights set on Ivan for dubious reasons, only to become embroiled in the tumultuous relationship between Sara and Raul.

Intriguing, isn’t it? As long as we refrain from comparing it to previous seasons, “Elite” Season 7 boasts a solid premise. The new characters, like Eric and Carmen, contribute significantly. Although it takes three episodes to gain momentum, the payoff is worthwhile. Ivan and Isa emerge as standout leads, and the writers redeem themselves by delving into Sonia’s character.

However, even as a standalone installment, there are shortcomings. What’s the overarching plot? While there are several subplots, they fail to coalesce—a charm of the earlier seasons. The pace does pick up, but falters in the second half as numerous characters are sidelined, only to be hastily revisited towards the end.

Despite a promising start for characters like Eric, Sonia, Didac, and Joel, their storylines peter out in the latter half. Nico and Rocio become mere props for Eric’s development, often disappearing alongside him. Jessica, portrayed in a cameo by Anitta, remains one-dimensional and barely contributes to the narrative.

The finale becomes a mishmash, hurriedly tying up loose ends from the myriad subplots, resulting in an unsatisfying conclusion. Yet, amidst the chaos, there’s one standout moment that will undoubtedly have viewers applauding. Ultimately, “Elite” Season 7 falls short as a continuation of the iconic Netflix Original series. However, as a standalone or spin-off, it’s flawed yet high-energy and enjoyable—albeit best approached as a one-time watch.
