Ek Chatur Naar Review :-
Director Umesh Shukla’s Ek Chatur Naar proves that a comedy doesn’t need nonstop laughs to keep viewers hooked. Irreverent, sharp, and consistently engaging, the film shines with clever storytelling and well-timed twists. From Mamta’s street-smart tactics to live rent-free by outwitting her landlord, to her constant edge in a tense game of cat-and-mouse with a powerful conman, the narrative keeps you invested. At 134 minutes, the pacing holds strong, never dragging, while the film vividly captures the gritty essence of Lucknow’s streets and slums with striking realism.
The first half unfolds as a light-hearted caper, full of charm and playful energy. However, post-interval, the narrative shifts into more serious territory as the truth behind Mamta’s motives begins to surface. The transition from cheeky con-woman antics to emotional melodrama occasionally strains credibility, and the pacing stumbles in parts. While the final reveal about Mamta’s intentions aligns well with the overall story arc, it feels somewhat predictable and lacks a truly impactful punch.
Divya Khossla delivers a grounded and spirited performance as the sharp-witted hustler, leaning into the naagin metaphor with relish. Whether she’s playing a housemaid, a waitress, or metro staff, she slips into each disguise convincingly, handling both the light and intense moments with equal ease. Neil Nitin Mukesh brings charm and confidence to his role as the smooth-talking crook, and his battle of wits with Mamta feels authentic and engaging. Chhaya Kadam stands out as Mamta’s boozy but endearing mother-in-law, offering comic relief and warmth. The supporting cast—Heli Daruwala as Abhishek’s partner, Sushant Singh as the persistent Inspector Triloki, and Zakir Hussain as a corrupt politician—adds depth and presence to the story.
Ek Chatur Naar Trailor :-
Ek Chatur Naar may not be razor-sharp, but it comfortably holds its ground as a clever and engaging comedy.
