Durlabh Prasad Ki Doosri Shadi Story :-
A young man named Murli from Varanasi wants to marry his girlfriend, Mehak. However, Mehak’s rich family agrees only if Murli’s family has at least one woman in the house. To meet this condition, Murli tries to get his widowed father, Durlabh Prasad, married again. During this journey, Durlabh’s old love, Babita, comes back into his life. The story then explores whether Murli and Mehak will finally be able to be together.

Durlabh Prasad Ki Doosri Shadi Review :-
The story is about a son in a small town who tries to find a wife for his elderly, widowed father, which makes the idea interesting. The writers and director add a strong local Banarasi touch and introduce some unusual characters. The film quickly sets up the main plot when Murli, a rough and careless young man, is taken to meet Mehak’s rich family while dressed very casually. Although Mehak’s father immediately says no, the women in the family agree to the marriage on one condition—Murli must arrange his father’s marriage first.
The story then shows Murli searching for a new mother figure by visiting an astrologer, using a local matchmaking app, and attending a marriage fair. These scenes are mildly funny, but the search does not lead to much progress. In the second half, the focus shifts to Babita and Durlabh as they grow closer again. Trouble arises when Mehak’s father demands that they end their relationship, claiming Babita’s bold nature makes her unsuitable to be his daughter’s mother-in-law. The story then centers on whether the older couple will once again give up their love.
Overall, the film lacks a clear and steady flow, even though it deals with meaningful ideas like old lovers meeting again, society’s views on independent women, and parents putting their children’s needs before their own happiness. Many storylines are not fully developed, and the endings feel hurried and too easy. One of the better moments is when Babita speaks up for herself, but this impact is reduced by a weak and rushed conclusion.

Anil Singh’s camera work stands out for beautifully showing the spirit of Varanasi and its river ghats. The use of lighting and camera angles in many scenes adds depth and improves the overall storytelling.
Final Thought
Good acting helps make up for some weaknesses in the story. Sanjay Mishra does very well as Durlabh, a kind but indecisive man, and especially stands out in the comedy scenes. Mahima Chaudhary plays Babita, an independent social worker, with confidence and shares a natural and pleasant connection with Mishra. Vyom Yadav is an unexpected highlight and performs with ease, while Pallak Lalwani gives a solid performance as Mehak.
