Uttam, fondly called “Dude,” appears even more emotionally drained this season. Despite having given up on finding his lost mother of over a decade, the climax reveals a different story. Meanwhile, this latest instalment zeroes in on a single case involving a group of petty young thieves.

The plot thickens when a pen drive containing a secret password to a crypto account goes missing, prompting the involvement of private investigators. Hired by a wealthy businessman who has been blackmailed following the theft of his prized device, Dude is tasked with retrieving the valuable key.
However, as the story progresses, one anticipates something unique or novel, yet it spirals into monotony, revolving solely around this mundane case. Despite attempts to inject intrigue by delving into Dude’s quest for his missing mother, lazy writing merely drags the script along to its conclusion.
In addition to poorly written dialogue, the director’s execution feels half-baked, resulting in clumsy scenes throughout.
Talented actors like Apoorva Arora and Arun Kushwah deliver lackluster performances due to the poorly crafted dialogues, while Ambrish Verma’s delivery appears scripted rather than genuine. Despite their previous successes in OTT projects, their portrayal in “Dude” disappoints rather than entertains. Even social media influencer Amit Bhadana fails to convincingly portray a serious villain, with his lines often eliciting unintended humor, further muddling the show’s tone.
Even the veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, known for his role in “Shrimaan Shrimati,” cannot salvage this sinking ship directed by Neel Jadhav and created by lead actor Ambrish Verma himself.
Verdict:
With its poor story, loose execution, and bad dialogues, “Dude” stands as a testament to the neglect of quality content on OTT platforms.
