Double iSmart Story :-
Big Bull (Sanjay Dutt), an international mafia don, faces a life-threatening condition that requires an urgent brain transplant to save him. The search for a suitable donor leads to Shankar (Ram Pothineni), who conveniently carries a USB device that turns out to be a perfect match. The brain transfer is a success, but it soon triggers a dramatic conflict between Big Bull and Shankar, which becomes the central conflict of Double Ismart.

Double Ismart is the highly anticipated sequel to the box office hit Ismart Shankar. With Puri Jagannadh returning to direct, the film carries the weight of proving his comeback after the disappointing performance of his previous film, Liger. The concept has great potential for high-octane fun and action, but the execution falls short.
Despite an intriguing premise, Puri Jagannadh delivers Double Ismart in a predictable and conventional manner. The film struggles to match the excitement and success of its predecessor. While the first half contains some engaging moments and Ram Pothineni’s performance keeps the audience interested, the overall impact fails to meet the high expectations set by Ismart Shankar.
However, the film falters in the second half due to an uninspired and lackluster screenplay that fails to make a significant impact. Jhansi’s role, though pivotal, is not well-developed, and her character could have been better utilized. Pragati, despite her important role, delivers a performance that overshadows rather than enhances the narrative with her over-the-top acting.
Puri Jagannadh’s films are known for their comedic elements, and Ali’s role was heavily promoted as a highlight. Unfortunately, the comedy falls flat, coming off as cringeworthy and cheap. This segment detracts from the film rather than adding value. Ali, typically known for his engaging performances, disappoints in this instance.

Another significant flaw in the film is the poorly executed showdown between the hero and the villain. The confrontation lacks proper build-up, and Sanjay Dutt seems disengaged, his performance feeling lackluster and indifferent. This diminishes the impact of the conflict and undermines the anticipation of watching Ram Pothineni face off against Dutt.
The film lacks memorable scenes that captivate the audience throughout. On a positive note, Ram Pothineni stands out with a stellar performance, excelling in dance, dialogue delivery, and overall presence. Sayaji Shinde also makes a notable return to the screen after a long hiatus, delivering a commendable performance.
Mani Sharma’s compositions for the film are decent, but his background score falls short of expectations. The production values are modest, though the choice of locations is commendable. It appears that Puri Jagannadh has lost his usual touch, and it’s evident in this sequel. Double Ismart seems aimed at capitalizing on the popularity of the Shankar character, but ultimately, it fails to deliver and ends on a disappointing note for Ram Pothineni.
Double Ismart Verdict
Overall, Double Ismart fails to meet the high expectations set by its predecessor, Ismart Shankar. The film suffers from a lackluster screenplay, ineffective comedy, and Sanjay Dutt’s underwhelming presence. However, it does have some redeeming elements, including a few engaging songs, action sequences, and Ram Pothineni’s energetic performance, which are the highlights of the film.
