Don’t Move (Netflix) Review :-
The movie opens with a grieving mother who has just lost her child and goes to the site of his death with the intention of ending her own life. However, when a young man unexpectedly appears, she begins to reconsider the value of living. Unbeknownst to her, he has his own sinister plans that will haunt her forever. He kidnaps her for a weekend of twisted “fun” before planning to kill her, but she is determined to fight for her life.
This psychological thriller captivates with its stunning direction. The cinematography is exceptional, effectively creating a sense of fear that quickens your heart rate. The performances are also outstanding, drawing you into the story and making you feel the emotions of each scene. Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock, in particular, deliver powerful portrayals that bring their characters to life.
Asbille’s portrayal of fear and desperation is powerful in emotional scenes, while Wittrock’s impressive madness leaves you stunned in several moments. Both actors have brought their characters to life so effectively that they evoke strong emotions in the audience.
However, despite the impressive performances and direction, the script feels somewhat lacking. There’s a sense of incompleteness in the plot, especially towards the end, which can be frustrating. This feeling detracts from the overall experience and leaves you questioning what just happened.
Don’t Move (Netflix) Trailor :-
While the characters are well-developed, the plot raises some questions. The exploration of human duality is particularly intriguing, prompting you to consider how easily a person can change. The shifting personalities of Richard (or Andrew) and Iris’s desire to escape her life make you reflect on these transformations, which occur in just a matter of hours.
Final Thought
Overall, the film is worth watching for its characters, performances, and stunning cinematography, even if the ending falls short. The experience is thrilling and immerses you in the story, but the plot can be disappointing in several respects. If you’re okay with a less-than-satisfying conclusion, then this film is definitely worth a try.
