Doctors (JioCinema) Review :-
Doctors is a chaotic, chaotic show filled with characters whose messiness spills over into every aspect of their lives. Set in the high-stress environment of an emergency room, where patients constantly arrive with various issues, the doctors’ personal lives are even more complicated and troubled. However, the series’ relentless need to introduce twists and surprises soon becomes apparent, making the storyline feel predictable and forced.
The series revolves around the core storyline of Dhaval’s botched surgery years ago by Dr. Ishaan, portrayed by Sharad Kelkar. Dhaval’s sister, Dr. Nitiya, arrives at Ishaan’s hospital with a clear intent to seek revenge for what he did to her brother. However, it’s apparent right from their first encounter that these two are locked in a fierce rivalry. The revenge plot feels half-hearted and lacks depth, as Nitiya’s pursuit of vengeance doesn’t come across as convincing. Additionally, the slow reveal of the truth behind Dhaval’s situation is overly cliched, irritating, and ultimately unnecessary.
Their romantic relationship feels forced and a bit odd. Given the timeline of the series, it moves both too fast and too slow, making it hard to understand or connect with their relationship as it seems rushed. Additionally, the series incorporates many “trending” health topics but doesn’t give them enough space to develop, resulting in conclusions that feel rushed and superficial, lacking the emotional impact they could have had.
That said, Doctors is undeniably bingeable. While every few minutes feels like an intense rollercoaster ride, the series moves at such a fast pace with constant action that you don’t have time to dwell on anything. This makes it an entertaining watch, packed with twists and intrigue. The relationships between the doctors add both confusion and amusement — it seems like everyone is forced into some sort of connection, almost feeling incestuous at times. But, in the end, it’s oddly enjoyable in a way that doesn’t require you to overthink anything.
Doctors (JioCinema) Trailor :-
In the end, the JioCinema series feels surface-level, never fully delving into the themes it introduces. The 30-minute episodes fly by quickly, but nothing really resonates. It’s entertaining, yes, but that’s about it. Sharad Kelkar is excellent as Ishaan, though I didn’t feel the same about Sethi, whose performance feels inconsistent. Aamir Ali is decent as Dhaval, but his character is so despicable that it mostly makes you angry rather than engaged. The real issue, however, is that Dhaval’s character is reduced to a mere plot device for the surface-level revenge story, even though the series revolves around his relationship with Nitiya and Ishaan. The rest of the cast is fine, but most characters exist just to add drama, rather than depth.
Final Thought
Doctors on JioCinema is decent, but not exceptional. It follows the familiar formula of long-running medical dramas, cramming in as much drama and outlandish storylines as possible. While it’s entertaining and fast-paced, it’s ultimately forgettable – but perhaps that’s exactly what will appeal to many viewers.
