If you’ve seen Call Me Bae, the tone and themes of this 2025 series might feel strikingly familiar.
A female-led, feel-good series about women pushing back against societal prejudice is instantly relatable and easy to engage with. However, Do You Wanna Partner? leans too heavily on surface-level charm and convenience. While the premise holds promise, the resolution of its central conflict—that the women aren’t taken seriously because of their gender—feels both implausible and overly tidy. Yes, it’s satisfying to see misogynists get what they deserve, but relying on deception—like cheating suppliers and investors—undermines the message.
