Do Patti (Netflix) Review :-
In Do Patti, there’s a noticeable attempt to transition quickly from one song to the next, leading up to a preachy segment where everything gets resolved far too quickly. Suddenly, characters start delivering monologues in the courtroom. This familiar storyline feels so tired that it can be frustrating, with events unfolding conveniently rather than serving the story meaningfully.
There’s something very unrealistic about this movie that can be quite irritating. From the start, it’s clear that the writers haven’t put in the effort to create a coherent and relatable story that sticks with you. As a result, it feels forgettable, forcing shock value down our throats in such a blatant way that it leaves a bad taste. Aside from the performances, the film offers nothing new or even mildly interesting; the storyline is completely predictable and superficial. This lack of depth is what makes the movie fall flat, and while something like this might have worked a few years ago, in 2024, it just feels lazy.
The main issue with the film is that it doesn’t attempt to reinvent itself or add anything truly relatable. Whenever something significant happens, we quickly shift to the next scene and start dancing to distract ourselves instead of reflecting on the disturbing tale at hand. The characters are one-dimensional and often make baffling choices. Many times, they don’t feel like real people, which is problematic given the serious subject matter. There are parts of the film that lack any logic, with events occurring solely to elicit a reaction from the audience rather than making sense within the plot.
Do Patti (Netflix) Trailor :-
Everything unfolds too conveniently, as if switching places with your twin is a common occurrence, and justice for blatant crimes is achieved within two weeks. Many situations in the film make no sense, yet it expects you to overlook them and embrace the absurdity without question—though it’s unclear why. Additionally, the movie is incredibly predictable. I can enjoy even the wildest films if they surprise me, but Do Patti fails to do that. You can see what’s coming just 30 minutes in, and the plot doesn’t stray from that path at all. The two-hour runtime feels excessive, especially with the last 15 minutes being so preachy that they come off like nails on a chalkboard.
Final Thought
Do Patti is frustratingly silly. The forgettable plot, characters, and situations lack the substance needed to keep you engaged. While the actors perform well, Kajol’s accent raises some doubts. Overall, this film is a complete miss for me; there are much better romance thrillers available.
“Do Patti” is now streaming on Netflix.
