Dhurandhar Review :-
Inspired by real events, Aditya Dhar’s action drama follows Hamza (Ranveer Singh), a secret Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi’s mafia (Lyari gang war) to take down terror operations from within. Told in multiple chapters, the film carefully builds a gritty and violent world over nearly 3.5 hours. Despite the long runtime, Dhar’s stylish and focused storytelling keeps the pace engaging.
The music and background score, blending 70s and 80s Bappi Lahiri hits with modern sounds, are a standout, adding energy and keeping the story moving.
Although promoted as a spy thriller based on the RAW vs ISI conflict, Dhurandhar feels more like a Godfather-style saga set in Karachi’s criminal underworld—a world that clearly sets the stage for a possible trilogy.
Even though the film is set in the past, some of the production design feels modern and a bit generic. It also includes some stereotypical moments, like a terrorist saying, “Hindus are darpok,” which reflects Bollywood’s habit of relying on familiar clichés.

Final Thought
Ranveer Singh shines in a layered and controlled role that suits him perfectly. His look—with long hair, a rugged beard, and intense gaze—might remind some of Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, but his performance and style are completely different. The supporting cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor, deliver strong performances, while Sara Arjun is charming in her role.
Building on the spirit of Uri’s “Yeh naya India hai, yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi aur maarega bhi,” Dhurandhar keeps viewers hooked from start to finish, despite its long runtime and intense violence.
