Dhoom Dhaam (Netflix) Review :-
The charm of Dhoom Dhaam lies in its playful and light-hearted approach, with Yami Gautam Dhar and Pratik Gandhi delivering a fun-filled action-romance. The film strikes the perfect balance, never overdoing the action or comedy, offering a simple yet enjoyable experience that’s easy to forget but still entertaining. The story revolves around a newly married couple, who barely know each other due to their arranged marriage, as they find themselves running for their lives to track down a mysterious pendrive before a group of goons catches up with them. Amidst the chaos and confusion, they start to discover more about each other.

The film follows a pretty predictable formula, with little that feels fresh or new. However, Gautam Dhar and Gandhi bring an unexpected charm as an odd couple, delivering performances that are both genuine and amusing. While the film leaves plenty unexplained and conveniently glosses over key details, their performances make it easy to overlook these flaws and enjoy the ride. The core plot—revolving around a lost pen drive and the couple retracing their steps to find it—feels overly familiar and never offers any real surprises. It’s frustrating how enjoyable the film is despite its lazy script, but sometimes even the most cliché storylines can still entertain.

The film is packed with plenty of funny moments, mostly driven by Gautam Dhar and Gandhi getting into ridiculous situations and reacting in their own unique ways. While their opposite reactions aren’t exactly shocking or unexpected, the actors make it work with their strong performances. The chemistry between them is spot-on, with Gandhi especially shining as Veer in his comedic scenes. As the nervous groom who’s never hurt a fly (literally and figuratively, since he’s a vet), he’s a perfect contrast to Gautam Dhar’s Koyal, the tough, secretive badass who’s been hiding her “jhalli” side from her family to gain some independence. There’s, of course, the obligatory cliché monologue about it, but the film doesn’t dive deeper into the topic beyond that. The most significant drawback of the film is its predictable, generic structure.
Dhoom Dhaam (Netflix) Trailor :-
Despite its flaws, I found the film to be quite entertaining. The comedy hits more often than not, and I found myself laughing frequently. Even though the plot is annoyingly predictable, the fast pace ensures you’re always moving on to the next adventure before you have a chance to lose interest. While the twist at the end is easy to see coming from a mile away, the performances keep you engaged and laughing through the film’s mediocrity.
Final Thought
Dhoom Dhaam is your typical Netflix rom-com, spiced up with over-the-top action sequences that often feel nonsensical and clichéd. However, the genuine performances and comedic moments provide plenty of entertainment, and the fast pace keeps things lively. While it’s far from the best Bollywood offering on Netflix this year, it still delivers solid, albeit forgettable, fun.
