Despicable Me 4 (AmazonPrimeVideo) Review :-
Despicable Me 4 (AmazonPrimeVideo) Gru and his family, along with the adorable but often mischievous minions, relocate to a safe house in a new neighborhood, assuming new identities and navigating fresh challenges. They must contend with the hostility of their snobbish neighbors while befriending someone who could expose their true identities. As if that weren’t enough, they also face off against Maxime and revisit Gru’s old school in a daring mission to steal a honey badger.
Little Agnes with her big eyes ensures the franchise retains its adorable charm, while Gru’s new toddler adds to the family dynamic. The Despicable franchise has thrived on its unique blend of a tough-looking man with a soft heart, offering a silly yet heartwarming premise. The minions and their whimsical “banana” language contribute to the fun and comedic elements of the series.
Despicable Me 4 (AmazonPrimeVideo) Trailor :-
The fourth installment retains all these familiar elements, but the script feels overloaded and underdeveloped, with multiple storylines failing to fully realize their potential. Consequently, the film feels disjointed and hastily concluded, lacking cohesion. Whether it’s the rivalry between Gru and Maxime or the family’s relocation challenges, neither storyline achieves its intended impact. The film comes across as scattered and a half-hearted attempt to sustain the franchise.
Are there enjoyable moments? Certainly. However, these moments fail to coalesce into a cohesive narrative that captures the heartwarming essence of the series. Additionally, there’s a subplot reminiscent of ‘Avengers gone wrong,’ where minions are transformed into mega minions, causing more chaos than aid. Unlike its predecessors, few scenes linger in memory, except for one standout. A scene featuring Lucy being pursued to the tune of Terminator’s iconic music stands out as the film’s funniest chase sequence.
Despicable 4 offers sweetness and entertainment, but falls short of being the series’ pinnacle.
