Delicious (Netflix) Review :-
A German family of four arrives at their French villa in Provence for a summer vacation, only for their trip to take a dark turn when they accidentally hit a young woman on a country road. In an attempt to cover up the incident, they bring her into their home when she later seeks a job, and she appears to be helpful to them all. However, her private conversations with the family members begin to expose hidden motives—dangerous ones. As their trust in her grows, it ultimately leads the family down a path of unforeseen consequences that shatter their lives.
This film is more than it initially seems; it takes you on a path full of twists and turns, gradually building an eerie atmosphere that creeps up on you. Pushing the anti-capitalist message to the extreme, the show takes a horrifying turn as the story nears its conclusion. This is the kind of thrilling experience you’ll enjoy, as I certainly did, with how the film presents its ideas.
The cast delivers exceptional performances, with Carla Díaz standing out as Theodora, and Naila Schuberth delivering a truly unforgettable moment that leaves a lasting impact. But the rest of the cast doesn’t just fade into the background; each actor brings their role to life beautifully, from the seemingly perfect family hiding deep scars to the anti-capitalists ready to “eat the rich”—quite literally.
While the film is already impressive in terms of its craftsmanship, what truly stands out is the message it delivers. Its anti-capitalist stance is clear, showcasing moments that highlight the stark divide between the classes in a single frame. What leaves me most amazed, however, is how these two sides are portrayed. By the end of the film, you find yourself not fully aligning with either side.
Despite the family’s hidden flaws, they continue with their seemingly perfect lives, and while they aren’t the worst, they’re far from ideal. On the other hand, while we understand the motivations behind Theodora and her friends’ actions, they aren’t portrayed as entirely villainous either. There’s no clear side to choose, and this lingering sense of ambiguity makes you question what is truly Black and White.

The theme is thoughtfully chosen, but what’s even more impressive is how each scene unfolds—leaving us both horrified and reflective.

Delicious is definitely a film you’ll want to watch before spoilers start flooding your feed, as it’s an experience well worth the time. It delivers everything it promises, plus a little extra, making it all the more enjoyable. A captivating thriller that masterfully balances just the right amount of horror.
