Yet, they face a host of enemies while striving to assist both the living and the dead. It’s a captivating premise ripe with potential for imaginative and spine-chilling storytelling, fully realized by show creator Steve Yockey. While each episode presents a standalone case, they are interconnected by a shared narrative and characters. Crystal’s psychic abilities complement the boys’ efforts to aid others. However, the romantic tension between Charles and Crystal feels one-sided and underdeveloped, serving as a minor distraction for both the audience and Edwin, the self-professed nerd from ancient times.
