The film aims to depict Dawood Ibrahim’s rise and the formation of his company. However, at the conclusion of the 90-minute film, director Ram Gopal Varma hints at further exploration in the next episode. The frames feel outdated, as the director seems unable to break free from the style of his previous films like ‘Satya’ and ‘Company’. The portrayal of gang conflicts lacks freshness and feels overly familiar.

There’s a lack of depth, and the audience is left questioning Dawood’s journey from a small-time thug to a formidable figure. The inclusion of romantic subplots adds little value and feels reminiscent of RGV’s signature style. Characters like Naina and Irra serve primarily to express their affection for their respective partners.

The film begins with grand statements about D Company’s notoriety, even being listed by America’s CIA as one of the most-wanted organizations. However, the director fails to deliver on these assertions, as the film fails to portray the true extent of the Company’s infamy.
