Commander Karan Saxena (Disneyhotstar) Review :-
Based on Amit Khan’s book series, “Commander Karan Saxena” is an action-packed spy drama centered on the fearless RAW agent Karan Saxena as he undertakes a perilous mission to protect the country from a looming threat. Despite having solid source material, director Jatin Wagle, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Sheela Bhansal and Vivek Malik, fails to bring originality to the execution. Even Gurmeet Choudhary’s heroic performance isn’t enough to elevate the series.
From the very first episode, “Commander Karan Saxena” establishes a high-octane action tone within its brisk, sub-30 minute episodes. The series effectively balances intense moments—such as the cat-and-mouse chase between Karan and ISI chief Nasir Khan (Iqbal Khan)—with the camaraderie between Karan and ACP Rachna (Hruta Durgule), keeping viewers engaged. The storyline maintains a steady flow of drama and curiosity about future episodes. However, the predictability of the plot, with twists that are easily anticipated, is quite disappointing.
Commander Karan Saxena (Disneyhotstar) Trailor :-
Gurmeet Choudhary commands the screen as Commander Karan Saxena, bringing a strong presence and charisma to the role. He executes the action sequences with skill and conviction. Iqbal Khan shines as the formidable villain, embodying a captivating bad-boy persona. The chemistry between Gurmeet and Hruta Durgule, who portrays Rachna, is charming and adds a romantic layer to the story.
The production values are outstanding, featuring sleek cinematography that captures the vibrant locales of Mumbai. The background score by Bharatt-Saurabh heightens the tension and excitement throughout. While the action sequences are well-choreographed, a few scenes lack intensity, yet the show maintains an overall thrilling atmosphere.
Overall, the first five episodes of “Commander Karan Saxena” lay a promising foundation for an engaging espionage thriller, featuring a captivating story and strong performances. However, the daily release schedule (Monday to Friday) for this 20-episode series could dampen the excitement. Despite its predictability, fans of the genre are sure to enjoy it.
