Cheers to Life (Netflix) Review :-
The film follows the journey of Jessica, a young woman who has always carried the weight of loneliness, believing she was the last surviving member of her family. Her world shifts when she learns that her grandparents may still be alive in Tel Aviv. Driven by a desire to connect with her roots—and a growing curiosity about who she really is—Jessica sets out on a journey of discovery. But her motives aren’t entirely pure. Beyond the hope of finding family, she’s also aware that a significant inheritance awaits her, one she’s determined not to miss out on.

While the film begins as Jessica’s heartfelt quest to reconnect with her long-lost family and roots, its tone remains light-hearted and whimsical throughout. Much like its title suggests, Jessica navigates her journey with an easygoing, carefree attitude—rarely pausing to consider the consequences of her choices. This playful energy, though entertaining, occasionally makes her decisions feel implausible, especially given the gravity of her circumstances.
That said, the comedy lands more often than not, with several moments that genuinely elicit laughter. What truly elevates the film, however, is its stunning cinematography, which beautifully captures the essence of each location. Beneath the humour lies a gentle emotional current, as Jessica rediscovers a culture she had long been detached from, leading to a quietly powerful journey of self-discovery. The cultural details are woven in with charm and authenticity, while the music deserves special praise—it’s both evocative and perfectly in sync with the film’s shifting moods.

Jessica’s journey is undeniably captivating, inviting viewers to reflect on the freedom and spontaneity that might be missing from their own lives. As she travels with Ben and Gabriel, her world begins to expand, and she starts embracing experiences she never imagined. One of the most heartfelt aspects of the film is the bond she forms with Ben—a relationship that evokes the warmth and wisdom often found in our own connections with grandparents. While her quest may begin with material intentions, it gradually transforms into something far deeper, ultimately becoming one of the most profound and meaningful chapters of her life.
Cheers to Life (Netflix) Trailor :-
The romantic thread in the film kicks off in a rather awkward and unexpected way—which I won’t spoil—but thankfully, things smooth out by the midpoint. From there, the growing connection between Jessica and Gabriel becomes much more enjoyable and easy to invest in. One of the funniest running gags is how their attempts to get intimate are constantly interrupted, adding a playful charm to their dynamic. Yet beneath the humor, their relationship also carries genuine emotional weight, with tender moments that make you truly root for them as a couple.
Final Thought
This isn’t a film that tries to dazzle with elaborate plot twists or layered storytelling. Instead, Cheers to Life delivers a warm, soul-searching journey that gently reminds us of the endless possibilities waiting to be explored. It’s a simple, charming, and uplifting watch—one that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still manages to leave you smiling by the end.
“Cheers to Life” is now streaming on Netflix.
