Cheekatilo Review :-

In Cheekatilo, the story moves fast but relies on predictable twists often seen in weak crime thrillers. It follows a determined journalist, carrying her own painful past, as she works to expose a serial rapist who has been operating for years without the police noticing.

The film is very predictable. The suspense and crime elements feel familiar, like things we’ve already seen many times before. Sandhya also comes across as a standard female lead who pushes forward without fully understanding the deeper issue, affecting people around her. While her past is said to shape her actions, the film barely explores it.

Because of this, Cheekatilo may seem like an important film on the surface. The subject matter is relevant, but the execution feels weak and rushed. Many scenes feel forced and not very real, even though the message itself matters. Overall, the story doesn’t offer anything new and seems more focused on making a point than telling a strong, engaging story.

Sobhita Dhulipala leads the series as Sandhya and delivers a decent performance. Her character is confident, determined, and sharp while investigating the case, though the police are shown as surprisingly ineffective, which makes her efforts feel less impressive. Sandhya’s character comes across as somewhat flat, and her trauma feels more forced than natural. Still, the way the series touches on women’s everyday struggles is relatable, and her brief conversations with her mother are especially meaningful.

The subject itself is important and likely to connect with many viewers, especially given today’s rising crime and lack of accountability. The final twist works well, though fans of true crime may guess the culprit early on. Overall, the film falls short because it doesn’t offer anything new and keeps repeating points that are already clear.

Cheekatilo Trailor :-

In the end, Cheekatilo doesn’t really leave a strong impression. It seems more focused on making a statement than telling a solid story, which makes it easy to forget. With so many films already covering the same subject, this one struggles to stand out or find its own identity. Still, the theme itself may leave some impact because of its importance.

Final Thought

I didn’t find Cheekatilo memorable at all. The final twist is easy to predict, and the film feels dull in places. It’s a story viewers have already seen many times, and done much better, making this one not worth the effort.

“Cheekatilo” is now streaming on AmazonPrimeVideo.
