Netflix’s Cassandra follows a “haunted house” format, kicking off with a murderous robot and a new family moving into the eerie home after years of abandonment. It reminded me of M3GAN—but with fewer wild dance moves—and kept me hooked from start to finish.
From the very beginning, it’s clear that the smart robot in the house is trying to take over Samira’s role in the family. The show drops subtle hints about the robot’s motives, and while most viewers will likely predict what’s coming, the series keeps you engaged with its compelling human stories and the complex relationships unfolding in the new home.

This trope feels unrealistic in most households, and I can’t help but wonder why it’s so often used to add extra drama.
