The story follows Chris, played by Eddie Murphy, who faces a job loss and becomes determined to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas decoration contest, Candy Cane Lane. His quest takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Pepper, a mischievous elf, and strikes a deal with her to enhance his chances of victory. However, Pepper’s magic spell brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life, unleashing chaos upon the town. Now, Chris and his family must work together to break the elf’s spell and restore order to their neighborhood.
While the film features a talented cast, including Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross, their performances feel constrained by the film’s lackluster plot and dull humor.
