Set in the 1980s, Black Warrant is a gripping narrative that unfolds within the walls of Tihar Jail, where the protagonist, the soft-spoken and naive Sunil Kumar Gupta, captures the viewer’s attention from the very beginning. The series delves into the lives of some of India’s most notorious criminals while exploring the cutthroat politics of Tihar, presenting a gritty realism that leaves you uneasy from the outset.

As Gupta faces moral dilemmas behind bars, it becomes evident that nothing in Tihar can be taken at face value.
