Bigg Boss 17 Runner-Up Abhishek Kumar Opens Up About Missed Selfie with Alia Bhatt and Unpaid Role in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania
Despite the conclusion of Bigg Boss 17, the show remains a hot topic of discussion among fans and contestants alike. Abhishek Kumar, the first runner-up of the show, continues to be a prominent figure in the aftermath. Following his stint on the reality show, Abhishek has ventured into various projects, including music videos, and has many more lined up.
However, amidst his success, Abhishek recently shared an intriguing incident from his past involving his participation in the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. In a candid conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Abhishek revealed that despite working for approximately 22 days on the film’s set, he wasn’t compensated due to the coordinator absconding with his payment.
Additionally, Abhishek recounted an episode during the film’s shoot where he eagerly awaited a selfie with Alia Bhatt. Despite waiting until the early hours of the morning, Alia declined the selfie request citing her costume as the reason. This refusal left Abhishek feeling upset, leading him to express frustration and make a vow to reject a future film opportunity with her.
Reflecting on the incident, Abhishek, who was around 17-18 years old at the time, expressed regret for his reaction and later understood Alia’s perspective when she explained the impracticality of taking selfies in costume. He has since apologized for his behavior.
Looking ahead, Abhishek has reportedly been approached for Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and Naagin 7 alongside Ankit Gupta and Ankita Lokhande, although official confirmation is awaited.
