The film tackles the farming crisis, a common theme in recent movies, yet falls short with its overly cheesy dialogues that border on cringeworthy. Instead of empathizing with farmers, the narrative risks turning their plight into a tiresome affair for the audience, especially amid ongoing protests.
The romantic subplot featuring Sakthi (Nidhhi Agerwal) adds little substance, relegating her to a stereotypical background character. Ronit Roy’s portrayal of the corporate antagonist, Richard King, lacks depth, focusing more on lip-sync accuracy than performance.
The cat-and-mouse game between Bhoomi and Richard lacks compelling tension, with simplistic exchanges and predictable resolutions. Director Lakshman fails to explore the logistical challenges realistically, opting for convenient solutions that undermine the anti-corporate message of the film.
The irony of an anti-corporate film releasing on a corporate-owned OTT platform is not lost on viewers.
