Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ayesha Khan recently criticized the paparazzi for taking inappropriate pictures of her.
Recently, actors Mrunal Thakur and Palak Tiwari expressed their disapproval of a section of the paparazzi for taking inappropriate pictures of them. Following suit, former Bigg Boss contestant Ayesha Khan also took a stand against photographers’ behavior. Ayesha took to Instagram stories to voice her concerns, questioning the intrusive actions of certain photographers. She expressed outrage at the angles some photographers were attempting to capture her from.
Ayesha wrote on Instagram, “What are these angles? Where are you Zooming? Consent? What is wrong with some of the media houses? Can’t a woman dress the way she wants without having to fear that someone might capture her from an inappropriate angle? Absolutely obnoxious!”
She further added, “A woman is adjusting her dress before stepping out of the car and you want to capture that exact moment and post it. A woman is saying don’t capture me from the back. Yet, the caption for the next post reads ‘XYZ says don’t click from behind.’ Some of our media houses need to learn basic manners.”
Earlier, Ayesha had expressed her displeasure over the paparazzi culture in an interview, emphasizing the need for respect and space. She highlighted instances where photographers would zoom in on specific parts or follow celebrities to capture wardrobe malfunctions or ‘oops’ moments. Ayesha stressed that while being a public figure allows for being photographed, invading personal space and capturing intrusive angles is unacceptable.
Just a few days ago, Mrunal Thakur also confronted the paparazzi at an award function red carpet when they insisted on her posing with her back turned to them. Similarly, Palak Tiwari requested the photographers not to click her from behind, but some of them disregarded her request and clicked pictures anyway. The issue of privacy has been a recurrent topic in Bollywood, with notable stars like Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma also criticizing the paparazzi for crossing boundaries.
