Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Review :-

Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha diverges from conventional romantic narratives, offering a slow-burn exploration of love, loss, and longing. Set initially in a prison, the film introduces us to the imposing Krishna (Ajay Devgn) before transitioning to a poignant love story. Through flashbacks, we witness a younger Krishna (Shantanu Maheshwari) and his romance with Vasudha (Saiee Manjrekar), which leads to his 25-year imprisonment after a tragic incident. Following an early release for good behavior, Krishna reunites with a now-married Vasudha (Tabu). The film’s essence lies in its exploration of the contrasts and connections between past and present.

Pandey’s script excels in subtlety, placing the characters and their emotions at the forefront. Ajay Devgn anchors the narrative with his nuanced portrayal of Krishna, transitioning from a formidable convict to a vulnerable lover. Shantanu Maheshwari, with his contrasting arc from a simple, noble youth to a cunning prison survivor, matches his senior co-star’s ease. Tabu brings a quiet intensity, portraying a woman grappling with her past while confronting her present. Their chemistry enriches the film’s emotional core. Saiee Manjrekar also gives a strong performance, while Jimmy Shergill leaves a memorable impression in his brief but pivotal role as Vasudha’s husband, Abhijeet.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Trailor :-

Alongside the compelling performances, MM Kreem’s evocative background score stands out, significantly enhancing the film’s emotional depth.

However, the movie suffers from tonal inconsistencies, occasionally echoing 90s Bollywood with its festival songs, an athletic Krishna battling muscular goons, and action scenes in the rain. Kathikuloth Praveen’s editing is uneven in parts of the first half. The major twist and the revelation of the crime are predictable and offer no new surprises. Although intentionally slow-paced, the plot feels stagnant by the interval, only gaining momentum in the second half. Post-interval, the film lightens up with some humor thanks to Krishna’s best friend, Jignesh (Jay Upadhyay).

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha strives for a mature love story but stumbles in its execution, with a slow pace and predictable plot diminishing its impact. It’s worth watching if you appreciate deliberate pacing and emotionally charged storytelling.
