Palm Royale, starring Kristen Wiig, has been renewed for its second season on Apple TV+. While the core cast will return to reprise their roles, viewers can anticipate fresh faces joining the ensemble in the upcoming episodes. The renewal comes swiftly after the conclusion of the inaugural season, with the streaming platform showing confidence in the show’s success. Created by Aby Sylvia and produced by Apple Studios, Palm Royale is a comedy set in the backdrop of 1969, featuring Wiig alongside Laura Dern, who also serves as an executive producer. The series adds to Apple TV+’s diverse comedy lineup, which includes other popular titles like Shrinking Loot, The Big Door Prize, Platonic, and Acapulco.

The debut season of Palm Royale centered on Kristen Wiig’s character, Maxine Simmons, as she endeavored to infiltrate the elite circles of Palm Beach in 1969. Maxine, driven by ambition, spared no expense in her pursuit of acceptance within the glamorous world of Palm Royale.
As the series progresses into its second season, the storyline is poised to seamlessly pick up where the inaugural season left off. Matt Cherniss, Apple TV’s programming chief, heralded the renewal with a statement, expressing excitement over the prospect of continuing the journey with this beloved cast. Cast and crew of Palm Royale
In addition to Wiig and Dern, the ensemble cast of Palm Royale features Allison Janney, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, and Kaia Gerber. Joining them in the second season will be Carol Burnett and Bruce Dern in recurring roles.

The storyline of Palm Royale is adapted from Juliet McDaniel’s novel, “Mr. & Mrs. American Pie.” Alongside Dern and Sylvia, the show’s production team includes Jaywalker Studios, Katie O’Connell Marsh, and Tate Taylor.
The release date of Palm Royale has not yet been revealed by the showrunners.
