In today’s (May 16) episode of Anupamaa, Yashdeep expresses disappointment as Anupama arrives late on her first day of work. Meanwhile, Toshu decides to take up a waiter’s job at her restaurant.
In the written update for May 16 of Anupamaa: Anupama updates Anuj about Aadhya’s situation regarding her menstrual cycle. Understandingly, Anuj expresses concern, and Anupama assures him that such experiences are a part of every girl’s life, and they eventually adapt to them. Anuj appreciates Anupama’s support for Aadhya, acknowledging that there are certain aspects where a mother’s role is irreplaceable.
Anupama gets late to reach her restaurant:
Anuj informs Anupama about taking Shruti to the hospital and requests her to stay with Aadhya until they return. Anupama assures Anuj that she will look after Aadhya in his absence. As time passes, Anupama anxiously awaits Anuj and Shruti’s return while praying for the success of her restaurant.
Suddenly, Aadhya arrives and begins to struggle due to severe period pain. Anupama consoles her and guides her to her room, advising her to rest.
While waiting for Anuj and Shruti, Anupama receives a call from Yashdeep, who alerts her about the overcrowded restaurant. Yashdeep inquires when she will arrive, to which Anupama explains her current situation with Aadhya and assures him of her prompt arrival after attending to her.
Yashdeep emphasizes the urgency, citing the waiting customers eager for Anupama’s culinary delights. Following the call, Vikram updates Yashdeep on their inability to handle the crowd and requests Anupama’s presence.
Dimpy collapses after seeing her molester:
Titu and Dimpy are heading home after watching a movie. As Titu is about to start his bike, a boy forcefully opens his car door, causing Titu to fall. Titu starts arguing with the boy when another boy steps out of the car. Dimpy is horrified to recognize him as her rapist, and the traumatic memories overwhelm her, leaving her frozen.The goons, following the molester’s orders, begin beating Titu. Despite Titu urging Dimpy to leave, she is too shocked to move. Just as the molester is about to touch Dimpy, Adhik arrives and intervenes. Adhik and Titu fight off the goons, who eventually flee. Dimpy collapses, and Titu and Adhik panic. Titu asks Adhik why Dimpy was so shocked upon seeing the goon.When Dimpy regains consciousness, she is terrified. Adhik comforts her and gently asks what happened. Dimpy reveals that while Titu knows everything about Samar, he is unaware of her past trauma.
Anupama apologizes to Yashdeep:
Anupama arrives at the restaurant and warmly greets the customers. Yashdeep, however, is furious because she is late.Anupama apologizes to Yashdeep, who stresses the importance of focusing on work given her significant financial investment. She apologizes again and is about to rush to her tasks when Kinjal and Toshu arrive.Toshu accepts a job as a waiter, which makes Anupama happy. As Toshu starts working, Anuj calls Anupama, panicking because Aadhya is in severe pain. Anupama instructs Anuj to give Aadhya some medicine.Toshu feels upset seeing himself in a waiter’s uniform. Anupama notices his distress and remembers how he used to be a top student. She encourages Toshu to embrace this new beginning.
Dimpy decides to tell the truth to Titu:
Dimpy insists on telling Titu about the horrific incident, but Adhik urges her to keep it a secret, fearing it might affect Titu’s decision to marry her. Dimpy argues that Titu deserves to know because they are getting married, and she believes in being completely honest, just as Titu is with her.Meanwhile, Titu receives a call informing him that someone he knows has been released from jail, leaving him shocked.At home, Baa is furious that Dimpy and Titu went out without her permission and vents her frustration to Baapuji. Baapuji tries to calm her down.
Toshu’s behavior angers Rahul:
Toshu struggles to learn his new job as a waiter. Rahul, another waiter at Spice and Chutney, confides in Vikram, expressing his frustration that Toshu, who is inexperienced, is earning the same salary as him. Rahul accuses the restaurant of nepotism, while Vikram defends Anupama, insisting she would never show favoritism. Rahul calls Toshu to take an order, but Toshu walks away to answer a phone call, which angers Rahul. Anupama notices that Toshu is not taking his job seriously and advises him on the importance of focusing on his work. Yashdeep arrives and witnesses the situation.
