Director Mahesh Manjrekar sets the tone for a rebellious gangster saga from the very first scene, where Rahul rushes to rescue his father Satya (Sachin Khedekar) from a ruthless land mafioso who has taken over their ancestral farm. Under the mentorship of Pune’s influential gangster Nanya Bhai (Upendra Limaye), Rahul quickly transforms into a feared underworld figure. However, Inspector Rajveer Singh (Salman Khan) stands in his way, determined to rid the city of crime and corruption.

The premise is ripe for a high-octane action-packed entertainer, but the film leans more towards dialogue than action, which occasionally slows down the pace. Nonetheless, a major plot twist in the first half keeps the momentum going for an intense showdown in the second half. Set predominantly in Maharashtra, Manjrekar skillfully captures the essence of both rural and urban life with Karan Rawat’s evocative cinematography. Despite the film’s strengths, the abundance of characters and repetitive conflicts stretch the runtime, not helped by the inclusion of four songs that feel forced and lack melody.

Salman Khan shines in his role as the fearless Inspector Rajveer Singh, effortlessly commanding the screen with his trademark charisma. Aayush Sharma delivers a commendable performance as Rahul, showcasing his character’s pain and glory with sincerity. However, the chemistry between Sharma and debutante Mahima Makwana, who portrays his love interest Manda, feels lackluster and slows down the film’s pace.

“Antim: The Final Truth” delivers intense action and drama, shedding light on the issue of land grabbing by mafia dons who exploit their connections with politicians. If you enjoy over-the-top Bollywood films with a dash of everything, then “Antim: The Final Truth” may just be your cup of tea.
