Andaaz 2 Review :-
Written and directed by Suneel Darshan, this spiritual successor to the 2003 hit Andaaz — which starred Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Lara Dutta — blends nostalgic elements of classic ’90s Bollywood with a fresh emotional core. Aarav, along with his loyal friends Tony (Srikant Maski) and Ehsaan (Parmarth Singh), scrapes by performing at nightclubs and private parties, all while chasing the dream of musical stardom. A twist of fate lands them a gig with renowned pop star Priyanka, who becomes smitten with Aarav and signs the band under an exclusive deal. But when he turns down her romantic advances, a furious Priyanka abruptly cancels the contract, derailing their dreams and upending Aarav’s life. Now faced with heartbreak and betrayal, Aarav must decide: will he bend to pressure, or fight for love and stay true to his heart?
While this forms the central premise, the narrative frequently veers off course. Darshan aims to deliver a full-fledged entertainer — blending music, action, romance, friendship, and family drama — but the result feels disjointed. The film struggles to balance its many elements, with the romance, love triangle, and emotional arcs lacking consistency and depth.
Subplots like Aarav’s urgent need to fund his father’s kidney transplant, or the inclusion of a clichéd gangster, Yeda Anna — played by Jeetu Verma (channeling shades of Sunil Shetty from Awara Pagal Deewana) — who seeks revenge after Aarav has him arrested, only add to the film’s narrative clutter. Set against a musical backdrop, the story frequently pauses for elaborate song-and-dance sequences, further disrupting its momentum. Attempts to inject emotional depth — such as the bond between Aarav’s father and sister, or Alisha’s heated confrontation with Priyanka — ultimately fall flat, leaving the film struggling to connect on a meaningful level.

The first half, centered on Aarav’s journey as a struggling musician and his blossoming romance with Alisha, unfolds at a steady, coherent pace. However, the narrative begins to unravel with the arrival of Priyanka and the central conflict that follows in the second half. Musically, Nadeem (of the Nadeem-Shravan duo) and lyricist Sameer deliver a largely forgettable soundtrack, with only the reimagined title track managing to leave a lasting impression.
Final Thought
Aayush Kumar puts in a sincere effort as the lead, delivering a competent performance. Akaisha Vats and Natasha Fernandez are serviceable in their roles, though Fernandez, despite playing the antagonist, is given surprisingly little screen time. Srikant Maski adds a few light-hearted moments, while Dolly Bindra is unfortunately stuck with a cringe-inducing role as the overly flirtatious neighbourhood aunty. With its fragmented storytelling, uneven tone, and forgettable music, this film ultimately falls short — and is easily skippable.
