Seeking Rs 25 Lakhs for a 5% stake in the company, the founders aspire to collaborate in global climate cooling efforts.
Delving into the app’s functionality and organizational challenges piques the Sharks’ interest. Despite being pre-revenue, the founder outlines potential revenue streams from organizational app usage. Ultimately, Aman and Radhika express investment interest, and the founder agrees to a deal of Rs 25 Lakhs for an 8% equity share in the company.
Pitch 2 :- Canvaloop Fibres
This bio-material science company transforms agricultural waste into textile fibers and yarns using a zero-waste proprietary technology, significantly reducing water consumption by 90% compared to cotton and polyester. With the aim of revolutionizing the textile industry, the founders seek Rs 1 Crore for a 1.33% equity stake. They delve into production costs and the distinctions between traditional cotton and their process.
The Sharks are impressed by the company’s existing sales commitments. Ultimately, all the Sharks extend offers to the founders. In the end, all five Sharks collectively propose Rs 2 Crore for a 4% equity stake, which the founders accept.
Pitch 3 :- DigitalPaani
This startup offers a wastewater management platform that monitors and regulates the health of water treatment plants while overseeing various tasks to ensure the plant’s efficiency. Additionally, the platform enables the recycling of treated water. In the end, the founders seek Rs 70 Lakhs for a 1% equity stake. They delve deeper into the issues they aim to address and the company’s mission.
The founders elaborate on their innovative approaches and how they address various challenges. The Sharks inquire about the startup’s future plans and opportunities, to which the founders provide compelling responses that impress the Sharks. However, after discussing sales figures, all the Sharks decide to decline the deal.
Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 52 Review
I found this episode to be quite informative, although it’s always amusing to see the Sharks investing in both fast fashion and environment-focused products. It can be a bit confusing for viewers to discern where the Sharks stand on this issue. Ultimately, this is a business show, and capitalism takes precedence, so there’s no animosity there. However, I must admit, I’m a bit perplexed about the overall messaging!
