The story revolves around a young woman who moves into a diverse neighborhood. Among its residents are Tony (Chandan Roy Sanyal), the society’s owner, and his newlywed third wife Sia (Chahat Vig). The neighborhood also includes a celebrated power couple, Rishi (Purab Kohli) and Radhika (Shruti Seth), who are navigating marital issues. Lalita (Amruta Khanvilkar), who recently profited from drug sales, lives with her husband Vinod (Sharib Hashmi), a casino manager. Additionally, there’s Benaifer, known as Benny (Shernaz Patel), grieving the death of her daughter Pari, and feeling neglected by her husband Denzel (Kenneth Desai) and son Riyad (Faisal Rashid).

As days pass, strange incidents unfold, stirring suspicion and fear among the residents. Could this new neighbor be the source of trouble no one anticipated? And if she wasn’t a threat, why was she killed, and who is responsible for her death?

36 Days (Sonyliv) Trailor :-

Each resident of the community holds secrets and hidden traumas, with their stories gradually coming to light. Benny grapples with haunting visions of her deceased daughter, while Lalita and her brother Bobo (Shivam Patil) are consumed by greed. Rishi’s troubled past casts a shadow over his marriage, Denzel balances his artistic ambitions with flirtations online, and Tony becomes involved in illicit and disturbing activities. The arrival of Farah adds even more intrigue, uncovering her own compelling narrative.

Directed by Vishal Furia and co-written by Anahata Menon and Seneca Mendonsa, this eight-part series shifts from a whodunnit to a domestic noir, delving into the characters’ flaws and hidden secrets. Although the plot becomes somewhat predictable in the middle, surprising twists in the final episodes keep it captivating. Each 35-minute episode maintains a brisk pace, skillfully navigating the complex web of characters and their interconnected lives.

Neha Sharma shines in the lead role, exposing the dark underbelly of secrets, betrayal, and hidden truths. Purab Kohli delivers intense performances, while Shruti Seth captures the essence of a controlling wife, adding depth to the drama. Chandan Roy Sanyal’s portrayal of Tony evolves from despicable to sympathetic, and Amruta Khanvilkar and Sharib Hashmi convincingly play a couple striving to fit into high society. Shernaz Patel stands out as Benny, skillfully portraying a grieving mother grappling with psychological struggles. Sushant Divgikar is striking and compelling as Tarun/Tanya, a man seeking a sex change operation, though his character arc lacks depth in conveying the full emotional turmoil of such a journey. The supporting cast also effectively enhances the story.

The series explores the mental traumas some characters bear, the anguish others experience, and the mind games at play. Viewers are often challenged in their understanding of the unfolding events, with numerous surprises and twists prompting them to rethink their theories and assumptions. While the show doesn’t quite surpass its source material, 35 Days, in terms of intensity, it remains a compelling watch. If you enjoy large ensemble casts, intricate secrets, and unexpected plot twists, this series is definitely worth a look.
